Huawei has issued a new HarmonyOS 2 update to the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro, the company's flagship smartwatches. HarmonyOS 2.0.0.197 is almost a 290 MB update, indicating the breadth of features that Huawei has added this time around.
According to a changelog published by Huawei Ailesi, Huawei has introduced a sleep mode that deactivates all sounds and notifications except for alarms. Additionally, sleep mode prevents the smartwatch's display from turning on when you lift your wrist. Moreover, you can now search songs within the Music app and switch between paired audio devices.
Furthermore, HarmonyOS 2.0.0.197 adds the option of synchronising data between paired sports equipment and Android or HarmonyOS smartphones. The changelog, machine translated, also states that Huawei has expanded the functionality of message replies. Apparently, the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro can respond to messages sent within third-party apps, such as WhatsApp.
You can install HarmonyOS 2.0.0.197 via the Huawei Health app. The update may take a while to download and install though, considering its near 300 MB file size.
