Mountain View, California-based endpoint security company SentinelOne has agreed to acquire Fremont, California-headquartered identity threat detection and response firm Attivo Networks for $616.5 million. SentinelOne's CEO Tomer Weingarten stated, "The acquisition of Attivo Networks continues our commitment to defining and delivering autonomous XDR. Identity fuses together all enterprise assets, and I see identity threat detection and response as an integral part of our XDR vision. Attivo Networks is the right technology and team to advance our portfolio, complementing our hypergrowth and accelerating enterprise zero trust adoption."
Minneapolis-based HelpSystems is acquiring Houston, Texas-based managed detection and response firm Alert Logic. The company stated that "Alert Logic will become a cornerstone of HelpSystems’ comprehensive cybersecurity portfolio."
Canadian IBM solutions provider Fresche Solutions has acquired Houston, Texas-based security firm Trinity Guard. Fresche's CEO Stephen Woodard stated, "Trinity Guard is one of the only companies we found that is significantly investing and actively developing their products, which ensures our customers will be able to not only deal with today’s security issues but tomorrow’s as well. This is by far the most advanced security and compliance capability in the market and a great value add for Fresche customers. Combined, we now provide our customers and the market with application modernization, infrastructure and security software and services that address the top three challenges facing IBM i organizations today."
Santa Clara, California-based CyberRes, a Micro Focus line of business, has acquired Swedish open-source intelligence company Debricked. The company stated, "The addition of the cloud-native software composition analysis platform and AI/ML capabilities further drive CyberRes’ strategy in the future of software resilience and DevSecOps. These aligned capabilities, combined with their vision of how developers evaluate, consume, and secure open-source components customized to their organization’s need, make Debricked an extremely valuable addition to CyberRes’ application security portfolio."
Pleasanton, California-based cyber insurance firm Cowbell Cyber has raised $100 million in a Series B round led by Anthemis Group, with participation from Permira Funds, PruVen Capital, NYCA Partners, Viola Fintech, and all existing investors. The company stated, "This latest financing will increase investment in data science, underwriting, risk engineering and claims management; expand go-to-market channels including digital distribution; and support Cowbell Re, the company’s reinsurance captive."
Israeli threat intelligence company Cybersixgill has raised $35 million in a Series B round led by More Provident and Pension Funds and REV Venture Partners, with participation from CrowdStrike Falcon Fund, Elron Ventures, SonaeIM, and OurCrowd. The company says the "funds will be used to build on customer momentum, continue innovation of Cybersixgill’s threat intelligence solutions, expand global footprint and grow sales and marketing."
Austin, Texas-based network asset management company Rumble has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Decibel Partners. The company says the funding "will help Rumble accelerate their go-to-market and engineering initiatives."
Israeli 5G network security company OneLayer has emerged from stealth with $8.2 million in a seed funding round led by Grove Ventures and Viola Ventures, with participation from angel investors, SecurityWeek reports. SecurityWeek says the company "will use the seed funds to build its product suite for the desired enterprise-grade security and deploy it for customers internationally. It will also create a cyber risk assessment and validation lab based on private LTE and 5G technology in collaboration with tier 1 players."
