Samsung has started selling the Galaxy Tab A8, a tablet that it introduced in December. To recap, the Galaxy Tab A8 has a 10.5-inch display and a 7,040 mAh battery, plus a Unisoc Tiger T618 SoC. The tablet also has a microSD card reader, runs Android 11 and weighs 508 g. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab A8 measures 246.8 x 161.9 x 6.9 mm too.
While the company announced that the Galaxy Tab A8 would be available with an LTE modem, only Wi-Fi models are orderable. Presumably, Samsung will introduce LTE configurations at a later date. Typically, LTE models of Galaxy A tablets cost US$40-US$50 more than their Wi-Fi counterparts. It is unclear if LTE models will launch in Grey, Pink Gold and Silver though, as Wi-Fi models have.
Currently, Samsung sells the Galaxy Tab A8 in three memory configurations, starting with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. As it stands, an additional 1 GB of RAM and quadruple the storage is a US$100 surcharge, which we have outlined below.
