Samsung seems to have decided to get competitive with Google in terms of pushing the latest security patch to its Android devices these days. To this end, the South Korean giant has secured the February 2022 (a month that does not start for another 3 days) upgrade for use in an update for a recent flagship series.
The Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra is now slated to have access to the brand new security patch as part of their latest firmware. Then again, this new One UI version, known as N98xxXXU3EVA9, has only been detected in markets such as the Netherlands to date.
Nevertheless, the more tech-savvy of Note 20-series users outside this country might still be able to install the advanced update via techniques such as sideloading. The files needed can be found on sites such as SamMobile's firmware database from now. Otherwise, the phablet's owners may only have a short wait until the OTA shows up under the Software Update menu in the devices' settings.
